2022 Season  Etobicoke Kangaroos Recap

May 2, 2023

As the 2023 season fast approached, the Etobicoke Kangaroos look to defend their championship from 2022. Prior to the league starting, the Roos will join the Halifax Dockers and the New York Magpies in the AFL Canada Cup in hopes of capturing the trophy that eluded the blue and white last year. This year the competition is being held in Hamilton Ontario at Mohawk Sports Complex with clubs from across Canada and the United States participating on Mother’s Day weekend.

Then the AFL Ontario league commences. With the Central Blues joining the High Park Demons due to low numbers this year, the league will be hosting a four team conference, with each team playing each other twice. The league has also scheduled a 16 per side mash up to be hosted by the Ottawa Swans up in Manotick, with a possibility of a second game in the GTA. The league has also provided an opportunity for clubs to travel to Montreal, where AFL Quebec will be hosting a fantastic tournament in July. As well, several members from the Roos will be representing the Canada Northern Lights squad in Racine Wisconsin versus the United States Freedom.

With 6 games on the regular schedule, the blue and white need all the support from their loyal fans!
